America is the richest nation in the world.

America is falling behind the rest of the world. Test scores are declining in reading, math and science. 12th grade math and reading scores are at a 20-year low.

Unlike Monica De La Cruz, I think funds for our local schools are more important than tax cuts for billionaires.

For too long South Texas has been ignored by Congress.

On July 3, 2025, Monica De La Cruz voted to cut taxes for billionaires…and slash funds for high-speed internet, health care, schools and economic development funds.

I think the help we need here is a lot more important than tax cuts for billionaires.

Immigrants helped build the United States. They have risked their lives for the United States in times of war. They have helped build and run our factories. They have helped make our economy the strongest in the world.

They deserve to be treated with dignity.

Every day, the demand for electricity increases.

As factories automate, new data centers are erected, new homes built, manufacturing plants constructed and office buildings modernized, electricity demand rises.

We need to generate more electricity, not less.
