On July 3, 2025, Monica De La Cruz voted to cut taxes for billionaires…and slash federal support for public schools, school lunches and aid for college students.

The education cuts will have a severe impact on public education in South Texas.

For those born to parents who aren’t wealthy, the path to the middle class is a quality education.

Good schools. Quality Instruction. Books and learning materials.

I should know. At age 24, I graduated from medical school, something that would have been impossible without good teachers, access to books and quality schools.

What I had, I want for all.

My Plan:
✔ Reverse the federal education cuts made by Monica De La Cruz.
✔ Increase access to afterschool learning for disadvantaged students.
✔ Supply all school children with Chromebooks, laptops or iPads to use for homework and extra reading.
✔ Expand access to high-speed internet to rural parts of America so children can study at home.
✔ Increase state and federal support for universities, trade schools and community colleges.
✔ Ensure that all high school graduates have the skills needed to go to college, get a job or join the military.
