Dr. Cuellar Kicks Off 2026 With a Texas-15 All-County Tour
ALAMO, TX - Dr. Ada Cuellar’s campaign today announced it is kicking off an all-county tour to bring her message of affordable care, a living wage, and better jobs to voters across South Texas’s 15th congressional district to welcome the new year. The tour kicks off in Weslaco today at the Krisp Gallery at a hometown meet and greet near where the Democrat grew up, and then continues in Edcouch, Texas on Saturday with subsequent stops throughout Hidalgo, Brooks, Jim Wells, and each of the district’s 11 counties in the coming days, including up through San Patricio and on to Gonzalez County.
“As a Doctor who has committed her career to serving the community I grew up in here in South Texas, I know families deserve better than the extreme agenda coming out of Washington that is hurting seniors, brutally targeting Latino communities, and making life more expensive,” said Dr. Ada Cuellar. “South Texas families deserve better, they deserve real representation and someone in Congress who fights for them. That’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
Dr. Cuellar formally filed her candidacy with the Democratic Party of Texas on December 2nd. The daughter of an electrician and homemaker, she was raised in Weslaco, Texas and taught to value hard work and perseverance. As an ER Doctor, Ada Cuellar believes that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Throughout her campaign she has hammered away at the Republican incumbent for being a Trump puppet and voting for the One Big Beautiful Bill’s steep cuts to health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
